Whale Rider

Madeline and I took a rather epic side trip for the last two days, but because it involved kayaking, I didn't bring a camera. When we got back, we cleaned up and met in the bar for a cocktail before heading out to dinner. I checked my email for the first time as Madeline fussed over the wine selections and got this from Photoshop.

"All of us hope that you two are having a wonderful and hot trip It's about time! Ryan had an idea for a shot and we resisted at first, but she's hard to say no to. Iray took it. I think it turned out pretty good.

"PS Did you find the toy DAZ put in your suitcase? She thought it might be fun when you finally get her in your bedroom. 

"PPS I can't believe you booked two rooms. I'm not sure you really deserve her, with that cowardly streak."

I don't mind Photoshop making fun of me. I deserve it, but WTF! Seriously, WTF. That…that contraption is going…I don't know. Fifty, eighty miles an hour and Ryan is on top without any protection!

"Jesus Christ," I say much too loudly.

"What?" Madeline says.

I hand her my phone. 

She laughs. "Toys? They really are busy bodies, but they're just teasing you."

"No. Ryan! They're going to kill her. She need them to look out for her. Look how fast that thing is going! It probably has drum brakes from the ’60s or something. If I find out whose driving, I'm going to kill them!"

She takes my hand and squeezes it. "You really care about her, don't you?"

"Yes. She needs somebody whose not her mom in her life. Somebody who will protect her from her reckless ideas. Like street surfing at a hundred miles an hour."

"You're so adorable when you care. But Ryan's an adult. You can't stop her from doing Ryan things. Besides, Photoshop and NIK, Jr. probably just manipulate the background. They might not have been moving at all."

Then she kisses me and I forget about caring for Ryan's safety.

I can claim no credit. DAZ, Photoshop and Iray conspired on the shot with Ryan. God, she's going to get herself killed. Being a supernatural sex creature doesn't save you from car crashes…sorry. Wrong spot for editorial. HDRIHaven told them about the location. Photoshop and NIK, Jr. did the postwork, which may or may not have involved motion blur.

"So what was the toy?"

"You refuse to join me in my bedroom. Why does it matter?"

"I never said that was a permanent condition. Who knows? Maybe this is the trip you get lucky."

She leans over, running her hand up my thigh and says in my ear, "I'm very good in bed."

She teases me like this all the time. She's a cruel, cruel woman with some serious intimacy issues.
